There are several sites, inclusive of the individual auto manufacturer sites, that you can use to search for a vehicle. One site that has a great tool when searching for both new and used cars is Overstock.com. When you enter the site, one of the headings on the top of the page is for Cars. Once you click on this word, you are directed to a search feature where you can choose to find new or used cars. From there, you select your desired make and input your zip code.
When searching for a new vehicle, you have the ability to customize your chosen vehicle and obtain pricing. You have the ability to add any available features for that make and model of car inclusive of exterior and interior color. After that, you can get the suggested pricing. You can then be directed to a local dealer which carries your make/model to be able to view your car in person, or initiate the buying process.
When searching for a used car, not only do you input your desired make and zip code, you can limit the distance that this search tool will use to find the listing of desired vehicles in your area. Once you choose the criteria, you can also narrow your search to include key words (such as sun roof, automatic, or 4 wheel drive) and also can input a price range along with the model that you are looking for. Most of the listings contain very detailed descriptions and features of the vehicles and include a picture. There are also many listings that allow you to obtain a free CARFAX report on a particular vehicle.
